I was hoping to use Drizzle on images of comets, but realised that this probably can’t be done as CometAlignment has to be done after using StarAlignment and I assume makes the later Drizzle during the integration fail as CometAlignment shifts the images to line up on the comet.

So can this be done? and if so what is the workflow?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike
I tried same combinaison but cannot work in drizzle mode. Got error because drizzle files don't match.

Thanks Philippe for your input. I was hoping one of the PI team would jump in with the answer 'tick this box' or 'it will work in the next release'

The reason why I want to be able to do this is... Comets are generally imaged at 2x2 bin to capture the light in the shortest time as possible as the comet is moving (sometimes very fast) against the star background. Dirizzling the 2x2 images will get back some of the resolution lost due to binning.
