« on: 2014 September 01 03:55:18 »
Hi Juan,

PI chrashes, when using STF to an image created with CatalogStarGenerator.
I've tried it several times - always the same.

PI 01.08.02.1098

Best regards,
Herbert, Austria

Hi Herbert,

I can't reproduce this problem with CatalogStarGenerator version 2.0.2. Which version are you using, and what parameter values are you setting on the script? Can you provide a process icon with an instance that causes this problem?

Hi Juan,

Here is the xpsm
http://endor.uv.es/files/data/public/3eed32.php?lang=de

Here is a screenshot with the settings
http://endor.uv.es/files/data/public/11a5f5.php?lang=de

With >Automatic Apperance< is checked, I cant produce a crash :-)

But with >Automatic Apperance< unchecked and some certain settings ...   :-(

Thank you for your help and best regards.

Herbert, Austria

I can not reproduce the crash with the parameters that you have posted.

In any case, those parameters are not very usefull. You are using a background magnitude of -1.5. This will swamp all the stars with a greater magnitude than that. It is like trying to do astrophotography in daylight.

Another important thing to know: The autostretch of STF stretches the image by a factor that depends on the stdDev of the image that also depends on the noise of the image.  Because of this, the autostretch usually over-stretches the images generated by CSG with the option "Generate noise" deactivated.

I also cannot reproduce the crash on my Windows 7 system, based on the settings in the screenshot. The zip file appears to be empty.
