Hello!

I started testing Pixinsight a while a go and finished my first LRGB -image just fine.

But now I have odd problem with RGB data. I`ve got violet some violet stars, other area/stars looks natural to my eyes.

I`ve tried different amount of subs in each channel and tried different variations in DBE, Background Neutralization, Color Calibration and SCNR. Every time everything looks okay, but closer look reveal these certain stars looking odd.

Another question is:  Does preview boxes show you same results in Deconvolution as you run the script on whole image?

Ive tried to do Deconvolution with preview boxes and when I find good sharpening settings I apply it to whole image, but in whole image it got horrible black rings around stars. I use Deringing mask etc. and it works on preview box, but not in whole image, why?

Hi Jussi

The deringing algorithm uses a multiscale support to build the profile of the features. This means, the size of the preview affects on the number of the scales used for this calculation, and hence, the support itself will represent the features in a different way. So, at the end, the value of the deringing parameters may change from a small preview to the full image.
