Hello All,

I have just bought the digital download of Warrens second series of Pixinsight.
It's been very good to follow these during the roll out of the different parts.
My question is how others who have brought the digital download have implemented it onto their iPad.

I have downloaded the file and been able to view the separate parts within a viewer app on the iPad.
But I only copied the mp4 files over.

Anyone else transferred their digital download across
How are you viewing it and what about the extra bits in the separate sections - how have you sorted them.

I am interested if there is some way other than copy the mp4 and that's that.

Regards
Martin

Martin,

Pete here Warren's business partner.

The easiest way to get them on and iPad is to do this through iTunes.  Under the File Menu look for 'Add to Library' then select the MP4 files found in the separate tutorial folders.  When you've added them all to iTunes and depending on the version of iTunes your running they will be shown as Movies or Home Movies. Now you need to connect your iPad and select and sync the files.  You'll not have closed captioning or the TOC feature but you can view them on the iPad.

We are looking to publish a iPad app in the next few months but it will be at full price not the special offer we've run through this week.
Email me if you have any questions.

Pete

You can also download VLC to your ipad and then when you hook up your ipad to your computer you can move all sorts of video format files into VLC. And, if you can pick up an Apple TV box, you can throw the videos up to your big TV.

Thanks for the replies,

I have copied the individual videos across onto the iPad using as Peter says iTunes connection.
This works fine but I was wondering if there was a way that allowed the menu that's on the IP4AP website as a front end to select the video you want.
I am happy with the way it's at the moment, but one eye on is this the best way to implement accessing the media.

Martin

It isn't possible to have the videos behave as if they were still on the DVD. But, you can rename them to give a more descriptive description. That helps a lot.

Hi
Anyone got any idea how to do this on an Android tablet. I transferred the whole download but so far can only get the sound but no picture.
