PI1.8-1070: Script editor handling time zones
« on: 2013 December 15 05:31:39 »
Hi,
just came across the message attached below. This is on a script file I just opened in PI. Is the script editor handling time zones correctly?

I can't reproduce this problem on any platform. Yes, of course file times take into account time zones, so this shouldn't happen. Does it happen consistently on your machine?

This is exactly the same error that I see when I modify a file in an outside editor, including the mismatch in the timezone:

I don't know why this happens; it doesn't happen on my Windows machines. To avoid this problem, don't open the script in PixInsight's Script Editor. Instead, create a Script instance with the script's file path and no MD5 checksum. This way you can execute the script globally by hitting F6.

Only I am not using an external editor, I only used the PI one.
