Slope image ?
« on: 2013 November 30 23:47:25 »
Hello !

When using the linear fit clipping algorithm, we obtain a image called Slope.

What's the utility of this image ?

Thank you !

Hi Dominik,

Juan described the linear fit clipping algorithm in this post: http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=2169.0
If I understand correctly, the slope image indicates how much variation is in a given pixel stack. Low values mean small or now variation while larger values mean stronger variation.
