Did you use the standard setting for the image registration en integration  parameters ?
Because I did exactly the same thing. The only differences are the Reference image and I did check the Generate rejection maps option.
And of course the faulty master bias !

I'll try again this evening, with master bias created by PI

Thanks for your trouble.

And if I were to convert the CR2 files to fits I would just need to uncheck the CFA option ?

The registration, calibration and integration steps would make sure I get a color image ?
Or do I have to check/uncheck some settings ?

NO!!!! - even if you convert them to FITS they are still CFA images.
Always have the CFA option checked for images that comes from a normal DSLR or OSC CCD camera.

OK.

Sorry for asking such silly questions.  :-[
I did notice that fits images were processed much quicker than CR2. But the conversion also takes time ;-).

And to say that some people dare to criticize this forum for not giving answers to questions of new users.

I for one, received an enormous amount of information from this forum.
I'll post my image as soon as its ready !

Thank you again

The reason the flats don't work properly is that they need Bias subtraction :-)

Let me know when you have uploaded some bias frames.

The bias frames should have arrived in the dropbox bias folder I sent earlier.
I also found the master bias created by PI.
I'm giving it a go myself again with a few lights.

I noticed you use ABE. Is there an advantage over DBE ?

It still doesn't work.
I tried it with bias, flats and darks = > Error no signal
Flats, darks => No Signal
Darks => No signal.

Settings are like in your screenshot.
the images are the same as the ones I sent to dropbox
I don't know what else to do !

This happens to my lights :

After Calibration (only darks)

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22839703/Photos/IMG_2792_c.fit

After calibration and debayering

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22839703/Photos/IMG_2792_c_d.fit

I don't think this is normal.

But I cannot figure out where I make the mistake

OK - so in the script your debayer settings are RGGB and VNG?
And you are using PI version 1.8 RC7?

I'm just reprocessing your stack via the script now with lights+darks+flats+bias...

One thing I notices is that your flats are too dark. You need to expose for a lot longer to get the histogram over to the right.
However, this is not causing your problem with the script. That can only be caused by a bad setting somewhere in Pi.

The file after calibration (IMG_2792_c.fit) looks fine. It is an undebayered CFA image within a fits file. If you run it through the debayer process with the bayer pattern RGGB and the VNG algorithm you will see the original colours from your CR2 file.

HOWEVER your debayered file IMG_2792_c_d.fit is totally wrong! - this is what is causing your problem.

I'm not sure what is causing this yet...

It has to be some setting since we use the same data.

I'm going through the video's of Harry and Warren to see if I can find out which setting it is.
I use RGGB and VNG.

Eddy - can you check your fits preferences in Format Explorer - are the same as mine below?

That's it.
I changed the settings in orde to manage the fits images from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey !!!!!

I'l change them back and try again.

Hopefully that will do the trick. It is the only thing I can think of that I changed since the previous image.

Thank you again !!!!
