CR2 conversion to FITS
« on: 2013 September 30 23:54:08 »
Hello,

In a previous post it was mentioned that converting tot FITS before using BatchPreProcessing would speed things up.
I used the BatchConversion script on my CR2 files but I got only grayscale FITS.
I used the standard settings.
Where did I go wrong ?

thx

Eddy

Everything is ok. nothing is wrong.
The raw fits files are gray scale, only after debayering the become RGBs

OK, thx.
They had me worried :-)

I only hope now I had the focussing correct this time.
I have to wait until this evening before I can continue stacking.

Gerald,

I suppose I have to change some settings in the BatchPreProcessing script so I don't debayer twice ?

Eddy,
When you convert with Batch conversion from cr2 to fits and afterwards
run the batchprocessing script there is only
on debayering in total in the batchprocessing script.
So, i see no challenges...
if i misunderstood your question let me know.

If the images that you have after BatchFormatConversion are grayscale and have a single channel only, you a fine for the subsequent use of BatchPreProcessing. The should check the CFA checkbox in BatchPreProcessing.
