What is the best technique for using the DBE and BN tools on images that have faint nebulosity throughout the entire frame? Most of the examples and tutorials I have viewed deal with samples that have a relatively well defined nebulosity zone.

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Make a duplicate of the image.  Give it a huge histogram stretch.  Hopefully you will then be able to pick out areas where there is no nebulosity.  Use this as a guide to placing your DBE samples.

Thanks Geoff....I'll give this a try. I'm wondering how to handle situations where I know that there is or should be some nebulosity throughout the entire image. Are there instances where DBEand BN is not used?
