Mix a smaller FOV image with a larger FOV image
« on: 2013 May 09 04:12:26 »
Hi,
I'm collaborating on deep sky projects with two friends, and I have the smallest FOV.

Now we're dealing with a set of frames that have a large galaxy in the middle, and a smaller but nice galaxy near the edge of the frame.

Unfortunately my FOV doesn't reach that small galaxy, but we would like to use my data to increase the SNR on the areas we all cover.

Is there a way, with PixInsight, to merge my data on top of the larger FOV, so that there are no visible seams?

Thank you!

Salvatore.

i used GradientsMergeMosaic to 'paste' in M82 and M81 from my AT10RC into this widefield (AT6RC+0.8xFR)
