PI 1.8 RC5 crash on Script DeconvolutionPreview
« on: 2013 April 01 06:47:31 »
Dear PI Users,

I experienced a reproducable crash under Windows 7 Professional x64, using the following steps:

1. Load a (Moon-) Image and take a preview
2. Activate the Preview
3. Start Script->DeconvolutionPreview

All deconvolution steps are processed, but at the end of this (I think at the point, where the resulting "summary
image" is generated), PI crashes.

If I use the native Deconvolution, everything works fine.

Maybe this can be helpful for improvement.
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

This is the same problem we've had with the DarkStructureEnhance script. I have attached a fixed version of DeconvolutionPreview that works without problems on Windows 7 x64 with PI 1.8.0 RC5.

Note that this problem only happens on Windows. The DeconvolutionPreview script (as well as DarkStructureEnhance and RepairedHSVSeparation) work perfectly on Linux and Mac OS X.

As noted on previous posts, these problems will be fixed the next week with a new RC version.
