1.8RC5: execute error on Debian Linux
« on: 2013 April 01 05:44:01 »
I installed PI 1.8RC5 on my Windows XP system. It does not work there. I purchased a Debian Linux system specifically for PI. Does not work there either. Installation worked fine, but when I run PixInsight.sh, all I get is

Code: [Select]
PixInsight: cannot be executed. Not a raspberrypie executable (see screenshot)

PI claims it runs on Windows, Linux, MacOS, FreeBSD, and now it does not even run on one of the most popular Linux systems. What's wrong with PI?

Resetting the date did not help...apparently PI does not like me to fool around with this  ;)
