Hi I downloaded the latest version(Ripley) yesterday but i didnt know how ii could select  a piece of the background or star for Background neutralisation/colour calibration  as in the previous version.

i noticed that it has a bug, while i tried to close the program it said Pixinsight has stopped working

The New Preview Mode icon is still where it always has been; it's just a different shape:
