Some issues with layout on Linux (and Mac)
« on: 2013 March 03 11:52:14 »
Hello,
I had some issues of layout on Linux (FC 17 on VirtualBox) and in the Mac. In the hope that somebody can help, I extracted the GUI part of the script (FITSFileManager), and attached it to this post under the name FKLayout.  The script just shows the layout, it has absolutely no functionality (all handlers are removed). It displays fine on Windows.
On Linux I have two issues shown by arrows in the attached image.
  • The space between the title part of the box and the contained component becomes quite large.
  • If I reduce the size of the window, the button bar overwrite the TreeBox above.
None of these problems occurs on Window.  They seem to be worst on a Mac (but I can only occasionally access one).
I tried to play with various possibilities, like having the buttons in a component rather than just a sizer, but this had no effect.
Any idea is welcome.
