I am trying to figure out if I can give PI a hint about how I want my images to be registered.
I am working on a three panel mosaic, and not all the images are perfectly aligned. It occurs to me that some of the pixels from one image might "spill into" the other image, where I could use them.
Basically what I would like to find is a setting that would cause PI to create a canvas (using the Photoshop term) that was large enough to hold the entire registered image after rotation instead of clipping it to the size of the original image.
For example, if I had a 1000x1000 image that got rotated 45 degrees by the registration process, I would like the output image to be ~1414x1414 with the original image as a diamond in the center of the square image instead of the 1000x1000 image with what started out as the corners simply clipped out of existence.
I hope the question makes sense, and thanks for any pointers,
Bret
