me again  >:D

I have a list of images to register
I have a reference image on the desk I want to choose as view reference
When I click on blue circle to do the process, the message "The View is locked for write protection"

It can work when I use a FILE on disk as reference

It becomes a huge problem because in 1 week we have the AIP Pixinsight meeting and we has told every trainers to install RC3 version.
I tested all my new preprocessing tutorial and I get several problems (It worked on 1.7 and some bugs better on RC1)

please advise
thanks !!!

Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1) 64-bit
PixInsight Core Version 1.8

The image registration module will not load, following the installation of today's bugfix:

Package type : Module
File name    : 20130127-windows-x86_64-module.zip
Release date : 2013-01-27 00:00:00
Install date : 2013-01-27 17:32:53
This update installs a new version of the standard ImageRegistration module for PixInsight 1.8.0 RC3. Build 279 is a bugfix release:
* Fixed a regression in the StarAlignment tool that was preventing registration against a view reference when the process was executed in the global context. For more information, please refer to the original bug report:

Here is the startup information from the process console. The image registration DLL (ImageRegistration-pxm.dll) is present in the bin folder, but for some reason will not load.
Maybe it's the 32-bit version?

Liamboulter do you get similar error when you try and load the batch preprocess script. I had what sounds to be very similar start happening to me today as well. Except I use the 64 bit version.

Yes, I get the following error (Process Console):

run --execute-mode=auto "C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/BatchPreprocessing/BatchPreprocessing.js"

Processing script file: C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/BatchPreprocessing/BatchPreprocessing.js
*** Error [001]: C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/BatchPreprocessing/BatchPreprocessing-engine.js, line 226: ReferenceError: StarAlignment is not defined

I'm not sure why completely uninstalling it and reinstalling the version I originally downloaded hasn't resolved the issue. I assume there must be some form of settings or preferences file of some sort left after uninstalling. Either way I hope someone can come up with a solution as I have a bunch of newly debayered images I'd like to stack :D

Liam, Dr_who,

You're still using version 1.8.0 RC1, which is unstable. Please install and use version 1.8.0 RC3.

Did a quick install before heading to work and it seems to have resolved the issue thanks.
