PixelMath Video Tutorial
« on: 2012 December 21 17:18:31 »
Hi all!

I have produced a few video tutorials for PixInsight.

Today i can offer the first one in (what i think is)  English, as my mother tongue is Austrian.
Therefore all other PixInsight video tutorial on my homepage so far are still in a variant of German.

If the new video version, showing how to create an image profile with PixelMath, is understandable

for non German speakers i will translate my German videos to my so called English.

Here the link to the english PixelMath video:

If you understand German and want to use the German videos, they are selectable here on my homepage:

Hope you like it.

More PixelMath videos are already in the pipeline...

Aloha
Gerald

Really terrific! I like that PM trick to create the profile too. Very smart. I spent many hours coding a profile module, this is much easier :) Oh, your English is great!
Best,

This is excellent, Gerald, thank you! I want to try this on my next data set, using the process container and an image container. I envision using the Blink module to flip through all the data to visualize the profile and witness the dithering of images.

Thanks for recording this. Your English is better than my German, but I'm going to give the other videos a shot.

Hi Gerald,
I just wanted to add my thanks for this very useful video; as others have said your English is certainly good enough to make it easy to follow the video.

I viewed your other videos in German and found the tutorial on pixel maths basic functionality to be extremely informative - if you plan to work on an English version of any of your videos, this is the one I would vote for as the next one.

Once again thanks for taking the time to produce this useful material

Derrick

Hi Guys!
Thanks for your positive feedback concerning my short PixelMath video tutorial.
Your responses encourage me to do more video tutorials "bilingual".
@  Derrick, will translate the "Basic PixlMath Functions" video first, but this will take some days to translate  as the total duration of the video is 40 minutes...

@Steve, yes i have planned more to come. The weather here from November until February supports this.

@Herbert, ich danke Dir besonders, da Du mir ja Camtasia nähergebracht hast. Deine Video Tutorials sind mein Vorbild.

@Georg, thanks. I like your German - Superklasse

@Jlake, thanks for displaying the idea already in your forum. The way you show it reflects my idea what it is good for.

@Sander, Thanks also for your kind and fast response - Yes, the resulting PixelMath expression finally is very short, but to get there it took me more than a few hours.
Its a side product of a PixelMath Solution which displays Mathematical functions, used in PixelMath, graphically.

Aloha

Great video, thanks for making this!

I am grateful for explanations of PixelMath. It has always been a mysterious, `high-level' thing to me, and I'm glad that someone is helping to de-mystify it :-)
