Planetary processing
« on: 2012 December 11 13:19:52 »
I've a refractor with a rather small focal length (770mm) for planetary imaging. Recently I bought a 4x Barlow to make the most in imaging planets. The reference http://pixinsight.com/tutorials/obsolete/Planetary/en.html helped me really a lot in having some acceptable results. Unfortunately, I always come across a problem after using ATWT to increase different scales: a 'ringing' problem to the inside of the planet. The inner border seems to be blurred more or less and degrades the appearence of the final image.
I tried the Deringing Procedure; used Masks but with no results.
Can anyone show me a way how to cope with this problem.
Thanks a lot !!
Raymond
