Transfer Functions in LRGB Combination
« on: 2007 December 14 20:01:36 »
I am confused on the meaning of the Transfer Function in LRGB Combination. It seems to act the opposite of how I'd expect; when I enter a lower number on saturation, for example, the color portion seems to increase and vice versa.
Thanks in advance for any enlightenment!

Hi Larry:

The transfer functions in LRGBCombination process (luminance and saturation) works like a mid-tones transfer function in a histogram transform. The lower value is, the more aggresive function you get. If you do so with the saturation parameter, probably you need also activate the noise chrominance reduction included in the LRGBCombination process.
