How to hide process console after each task
« on: 2012 September 13 17:56:51 »
Hello
For some reason the process console comes up after (almost) each task.

Is there a way to hide it until I need it?
I searched the global preferences but did not find if

I think there is some timeout value in the preferences. Search again!

Hello
I found "Console Window delay (ms)" witch is set to 750 (less than 1 second).
But documentation says this is the delay to show console (not to hide)
Anyway, this has no effect on my problem.

I found out something related to this:
If I close PixInsight and  open it  immediately again,  It seems to load another set of default parameters,
for instance, it shows view explorer and format explorer which I normally have not enable.
Here the console hides on the normal way.

You can set the delay to 60 seconds (60000), which should hide the console for most processes.

PI needs some time to terminate properly. If you restart it too quickly, it believes it is starting a new instance, with its own defaults etc. . Usually, it displays an instance indicator in the main window title.

Thanks Georg

I finally found out that there is a "Lock button" for the console, and I guess that I pressed it accidentally.

By the way, you are wright about the time needed for PI to close.
