Question about ImageSolver
« on: 2012 May 14 00:21:05 »
This usually works well, but when I tried it on a processed shot of M4 (LRGB), it didn't succeed. However, there was no problem plate solving the unstretched integrated luminance image.  Any suggestions as to why the difference in behaviour?

As I said there, ImageSolver uses StarAligment which is designed to work with lineal images. When used with stretched images it does not detect some of the brightest stars and misidentify noise as stars. The tips in that message could help to avoid this limitations.
