BatchPreprocessing Empty format name
« on: 2012 May 03 00:53:43 »
Hi,

I got this message during ImageIntegration:

What does it mean?
Your help would be very nice.

Now I have to go back to the startline
This is not a very comfortable deal with an error :-(

Best regards.

Herbert, Austria

Maybe the topic is wrong in this category, but I dont have an idea where to post it - sorry.

Hi Herbert,

I apologize for the long delay in my answer. Just overlooked this report for some reason...

This problem has never been reported before. To help you I need a sample of the files you are integrating. On the screenshot you attached I can't see the whole file names of your images (they are cut at the right side of the console window), and this is crucial to understand what happens. Could you please copy here a relevant part of the text in PI's console after this problem happens?

Juan, I've seen this same error, but not every time I run the BP script. When I get this error I manually select the _c_r subs and integrate.

Earlier in the Process Console, the StarAlignment failed on 6 images.  I think one of these may be causing your error.   http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=4338.msg30447#msg30447

Charles, for the heck of it after doing a BPP script on 19 T1i subs of M13 last night, which worked perfectly. I added one IZAR sub to the 19 M13 subs and got the ERROR. I assume the BPP script is looking for the number of Registered subs to equal the number of Debayered subs, maybe?

I've never used debayered images Cleon so I can't help there.  Did you determine why the StarAlignment didn't work on those 6 images?  Never having a need to look for it, I assume PI has a log file where the Process Console messages are kept.

Sorry again Cleon, I just noticed you weren't the original poster thus having no access to the 6 images.

Hi Juan,

this error is not repeatable and didnt happen with an other image.

I'm sorry to delete the data in the meantime - but the next time, ...

Thank you and best regards.

Herbert, i guess my instants of this Error is different, I can reproduce it every time when I get a failed sub during Registration.
I doubled checked this today with 6-lights and every time I changed one of the light subs out with a different object the Registration would give me one failed and then the Error occurred during Integration. My subs are from Canon T1i.

Hi Cleon!

Thanks for the hint with the failed sub during registration.
Maybe I had a failed sub as well - I will watch this next time.

Best regards.

Hopefully these problems will be gone in the new version 1.20, which I'll release in a while.
