BatchPreprocessing script disappeared
« on: 2012 April 30 23:29:28 »
Reposting this post since I posted into the wrong group

I installed the new BatchPreprocessing script (OS X) and there it was. Selected the menu option and launched the script all was fine. Didn't actually do anything with the script  (was going to have a proper play this evening) went to launch the script this evening and it has disappeared. Somehow I did managed to crash PI -may be that's why it's gone. Anyone know how to get the script back?

Many thanks

Hi,

If you update PI by the usual way the script is implemented automatically and won't disapear...
There is a way to manually add scripts, i know how to do it but I am without my laptop for the moment, i will keep you in the loop; if nobody else is faster  >:D

Thanks Lex,

I do do the update in the 'normal' way, but it still disappeared. If you or someone can tell me how to restore the script on  OS X then I would be very grateful.

Thanks again

It does the same on my Mac, running 64bit. It would be there until I used it once, then gone but it still shows that it's installed. I downloaded and installed the 32bit version and have not had a problem since.

Hi,

try to download this http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3654.0;attach=4573, save it to some logic place like PI-Scripts or so.

Then tell PI where to find the process ( if it is not simply still there but unchecked? )
PI - Script - Feature Scripts - Add

Finally regenerate; this should normally work; hope so  >:D

Not sure my script ever showed up...the update shows as installed but the script is nowhere to be found in the script menu. Tried to install manually via the link in the previous post and that didn't work. Anyone have any other ideas? BTW, I'm running 64 bit version.

Thanks,
Don

Tried what Lex said but it did not work in 64bit. Script is now showing in the menu but I get an error when I try running it.

*** Error [000]: /Users/Desktop/PI Scripts/BatchPreprocessing/BatchPreprocessing-GUI.js, line 538: Error: ProcessInstance.iconsByProcessId(): unknown process class: 'CosmeticCorrection'

My version of cosmetic correction is 1.6.1

Preprocessing Script still works in the 32bit version without issues.

After updating my 64bit Linux system the BP script worked without issue. At some point, an instance of PI remained in the background after closing PI. Next start presented as a second instance of PI and no BP script. Killing the second instance fixed the problem.

Try killing any other instances of PI.

That did the trick astropixel! Removed all plist files in library, restarted PI and everything seems to be up and running now. Need to run the BP script yet, just to make sure.

Thanks.  :)

I fresh installed PI (64) on a new Laptop and installed all updates. The script is missing, too. I found the scipt in the PI folder in subfolder and added it now as discussed here. So when I now try to run the script it says:

Processing script file: C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/BatchPreprocessing/BatchPreprocessing.js
*** Error [000]: C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/BatchPreprocessing/BatchPreprocessing-GUI.js, line 820: Error: ProcessInstance.iconsByProcessId(): unknown process class: 'CosmeticCorrection'

Never had such problems before on my main PC.

Thanks,
Tobias

Edit: I just started PI in the reset mode and now it seems to work... lets see....
