Combining Ha data to LRGB

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. That was indeed an interesting article, and I actually went back and applied it to my image, even though he's talking about galaxies. It's at the end of my web page, although I did smaller images to compare four different ways to add Ha without all that long, long scrolling I already put everyone through :oops:

My conclusion was that adding Ha to all the channels and the Lum had slight edge to adding it to just the red.

I think Chris' technique worked well for that image and I too think its the winner this time.  I have to say in dealing with Ha I do not have a cookbook approach that works for all the images.  I am hoping we make progress on the Ha Combine thread regarding star sizes
