On my computer this problem was linked to a Trojan virus, Alureon rootkit 64bit...
PI as a virus detection application...that's something new.... ;)

I just went through the same drill with the errors.  PI would not let me integrate a stack of FTS files that it had created during star alignment.  After reading the above and other posts, and turning off every program I could, the error was still there.  I ended up getting rid of it by resetting PI.  I'm on 1.8 RC7, Windows 8, 64-bit.  It works fine now.

Hi!

Same problem here when trying to integrate some BIAS.

PI 1.8 RC7
Windows 2012 Server 64 bits
4 x  AMD Opteron 23xx 2.20GHz

How can I reset PI to try Bill solution?

Adding more RAM (from 8Gb to 16Gb) solved the problem.

And here is another one.

Same crash during Drz Integration. I tried different data from different locations. Problem occured after update to latest version.

Win10
i7-2670QM
500gb SSD
8GB DDR3
Nvidia GT 540M, 2GB VRAM

I was running PI for the last year without any problems whatsoever. In the last few days the STF preview started to take AGES so I tried to reinstall with the latest version and now I am completely blocked. :-(

Hi,

I need the data set that is causing this problem to reproduce it and find a solution. Can you please upload it?

If I understand this well, previous 1.8.4 versions of PixInsight were working well, then STF started to run slowly with the same 1.8.4 version. Then you installed the new version 1.8.5. Is this correct?

Hello Juan,

Thanks for your quick reply!
Yes exactly how you described it!

I'm uploading 2 xisf with their drz to my dropbox but it may take a while.

I also tried different datasets and they didn't work out either.

Hello,

I have now gone through a whole workflow for an image and the error does not occur anywhere else than with drizzle integration.

Best,
Robert

Stoooop thinking!

I tried to integrate the old .drz instead of the .xdrz files... problem solved!  ::)

Thanks a lot anyway

I posted this on another thread, but I was getting a Windows PLC Win32 System Exception.  By unchecking the "Automatic UI Scaling" global setting, the error stopped occurring.   The error occurred when I tried to open a real time preview for one image in a list of images from CosmeticCorrection.   But then when I reloaded a project and used a Workspace Icon I saved previously to do the same operation, I got the same crash, no matter what I have checked or unchecked.  So unchecking automatic UI Scaling seemed to help some, but the crash still happens.
