Edit and TextBox don't allow spaces

I am writing an script that uses both Edit and TextBox controls. Neither of them seem to allow the user to enter spaces. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but I can reproduce the same behavior with MathTranClient and DrawSignature.

I am using PixInsight 1.7.5.779 x86_64 in Win7 x64.

I have found a workaround until Juan fixes this: The space character can be copied from anywhere (i.e. any text editor like notepad) and pasted on text fields in the scripts.
