Preprocessing script
« on: 2012 March 30 09:22:33 »
After installing the latest preprocessing script, it appears that i get a still bayer image
after integration :o

http://www3.cablevision.qc.ca/astro/batch_preprocessing.jpg

I am a little shy declaring this a bug as there is a high probability i am
doing something wrong :D

Previous version of the script was ok.

If somebody can help it would be appreciated.

Camera is ST2000XCM osc.

Cheers,

JG Moreau

Did you check the CFA option?

Did you check the CFA option?

Yes, same thing with just the debayer module...

Win 7, 64bits

Then you're not using the right RGB pattern probably.

Hello Sander, here is the result of older script at left and newer one at right, same image, same settings.

Something seems wrong, maybe its me :)

Hi,

I misunderstood the problem, I thought you said a plain debayer run without a script didn't work either. What you are presenting here indicates a problem in the script for sure. Possibly caused by recent changes to the debayer module.

Hi

Nobody has changed the Debayer module since the latest release (December 2011). Have you tried with the four CFA patterns in the Debayer tool?

It could be also a FITS orientation issue. Open FITS Preferences (Format Explorer, double click the FITS item) and make sure you have 'Upper left corner' selected as the coordinate origin. PI uses the professional convention (lower left corner) by default but most amateur image acquisition softwares do not.

Hi Juan, sorry to be a pest and/or an idiot :-[

Here are thing i tried :

-all bayer patterns
-all debayer modes
-different raw images
-reset settings
-checked fit preference for upper left corner

Its the debayer module that behave strangly on my machine, Win 7, 64
see a single raw calibrated image with just debayer module action :

http://www3.cablevision.qc.ca/astro/Calibrated_debayer.jpg

Might pass for noise, but an integration of 72 such frames looks the same :'(

Anything else i could try ?

Thanks for your patience,

Hi, i have uploaded some images and calibration masters on the file sharing site.

Can someone try to calibrate/stack them and help me find what i am doing wrong ?

Camera is ST2000XCM, with BGGR matrix.

Thanks for your help,
