I am pretty new at this. Could someone please share with me the best technique to obtain pinpoint stars? My stars are looking a bit flat.
Thanks
Albert

Might help if you post examples? "bit flat" and "pinpoint" are bit subjective.

I just posted an image of M45 in the gallery. I tried deconvolve but I am having trouble removing the dark rings.
Thanks

Hi,
Read my article about
dynamic range compression
. I talk about this topic in the "High-contrast, small-scale structures" section.

Vicent.
