Omega Centauri from Winter Star Party
« on: 2012 March 08 21:40:46 »
Hello everyone,

I've been working on this image of Omega Centauri all evening and would appreciate some feedback from the group.

13x2minutes LRGB, with the RGB binned 2x2 from the 2012 Winter Star Party, Astro-Physics 130GT, ST-10XME. I resized it because of the forum constraints.
Regards,
Luigi Marchesi

Thanks.

I looked at it so many times on so many monitors .. I thought I was still seeing a minor circular gradient. Also, it was my first 'go' with the HDR Multiscale Transform, so that took a few iterations to get 'right.'

I have a couple of blooms to fix and then I think I'll label it as 'final.'

Hola Louis,

Have you done DBE?

Yes, it is. It is darker at the edges of omega than the rest. Maybe with DBE at the beginning you can match it but be careful when applying HDRMT

You can easily detect it with RangeSelection Tool

Saludos, Alejandro.

I did ABE. However, I did notice that my 'blue' frames had a very  high rejection rate. Perhaps that is contributory?

At any rate, thanks for the suggestion.  I'll go and re-process and see if I can improve this.
