help in pixinsight
« on: 2012 February 23 06:12:04 »
Is there a help menu in pixinsight where I can search for help by topic?
I was looking for equivalent commands to levels and curves such as in photoshop and gimp.

You can access to all tools from 'Process Explorer' (vertical tab). Favorites process include HistogramTransformation and CurvesTransformation (see atach). Other way: menu Process, and explore the submenus.

I recommend you watch the Harry's videos:

What also missed Enzo to mention is that you can click on the arrow at the bottom of the process explorer and get any documentation released so far for specific processes (see attachment)

Thanks for the suggestion. It seems not to work for me. Attached the screenshot.

I plan to try two things
- uninstall and install again
- reach out to support as to whether this is not available in the trial version

If any of the support folks are looking at this thread, please respond.

Thanks all for your help.
After uninstalling and installing again and applying the updates, I can see the help documentation.
I will also go through the suggested tutorials.
