After loading RGB image the 'plane selector' in toolbar is not enabled

- drop in a color image
- attempt to switch to R view using toolbar. Not enabled.
- use menu Image->Display->Red
- toolbar selector enabled.

I can't reproduce this behavior on Windows and Linux. Is this reproducible on your machine on a regular basis? Anybody else is having this issue?

Sure you can reproduce it. You just haven't tried hard enough yet

- start PI
- pane selector in PI disabled
- open RGB image
- pane selector in PI still disabled

That's all. Just reproduced it on a second W7-64 system.

I could not reproduce it on Win7-x64 with .tif,.cr2,.jpeg files opened via drag&drop, Open a Copy..., Open... . Sorry

I used file->open recent. Don't know if that matters.

Oh yes I have tried. I've just tried with a good bunch of images, different workspaces, restarting PI... this never happens to me on Windows 7 Home premium x64 (physical machine) and Windows 7 Enterprise x64 (virtual machine).

Still not able to reproduce File/Open for an Autosave.tif file produced by DeepSkyStacker. Did you try with other file types? Is the something special with your file? Did you change the defaults of Window management? Just guessing.

It also works correctly for me with File > Open Recent, JPEG, TIFF, FITS, PNG, BMP, CR2...

As Georg says, is there something special with the images you're opening?

nothing special AFAIK but I'll reproduce again and upload the image so you can try with that.

I cropped the tif and reproduced the issue with it.

Still very easy to reproduce on all my installs. Very disturbing that it can't be reproduced by Juan.
