I am trying PixInsight for 45 days. I've been using Maxim and Photoshop for data processing. I've looked at Harry's tutorials and they are great but I feel there is a need for a tutorial that has a very basic workflow for beginners. I've tried bringing a processing, colorized fit into PixInsight  but I am getting lost pretty quickly.

Can anyone point me to a very basic workflow that has step by step instructions on what to do with a new image.

Many thanks

Albert

Albert,

While not as comprehensible as Harry's videos, I posted a starter guide on my website. It has the subjects listed in the order that I usually use as a basic process for an image. When I made this I wasn't using PI's image calibration tool but that should be fair clear on its use. Remember that holding the cursor over an input browse button offers information about that object. See attached image. My starter guide, such as it is, is located here http://www.astral-imaging.com/pix_insight_a_new_user.htm
