One of the things that really bugs me is if the script fails or I want to tweak a parameter, I lose all the settings I'd set up.  Mind you, I run the script from a pre-saved process icon on the desktop.  If I recall correctly though I should be able to re-run it (not from my desktop icon) and it will recall the most recently used settings?  Can anyone confirm that?

Not at all. I have introduced changes and new features in version 1.7.0 precisely to facilitate writing scripts like this one (read-only process properties). However these features are still incomplete; that's why I haven't described them publicly yet.

This script is a wonderful piece of software. When it works as expected, it will make the preprocessing task much easier in PixInsight but without losing a bit of its power and flexibility. I plan on continuing development of this script as soon as possible, hopefully with John's help. But please bear in mind that my time and resources are very limited, and my workload is huge. PI grows and grows but our resources are always the same.

It is worth doing it, and if you know and organize your data and your work well, it isn't so time consuming. It is not a fully automatic procedure like in other applications, but heck, other applications don't provide even a 10% of the accuracy and flexibility you have with our ImageCalibration, StarAlignment and ImageIntegration tools.

Yes Juan, I've tried a lot of different programs, and although I can by no means claim to be an expert on them, I have never managed to obtain the fantastic fidelity that PI gives - particularly the Star Alignment and Image Integration routines (probably I just don't know enough maths to fully appreciate the Image Cal module even though I use it all the time).  I always hate myself later if I do a "quick and dirty" using something else

That's easy to say if you look at the PI project from the outside. But the fact is that despite we are growing, we don't manage to grow enough to make a 'jump' to a higher level in terms of business. On March we hired Javio, who is doing a great work after an initial learning period that still continues (have you noticed the new documentation and tools we have released lately?), and we are to invest a 'lot' (to our scale) of resources into new video tutorials, but again we are far from being able to make the jump.

Also take into account that we are where we are. Everything is very different in the US. Here in Spain a company like ours and a project like PI are completely inviable. The fact that PI can exist and survive is a miracle; a singularity that is only possible because I am so lucky (and so insane) that I can afford it for reasons that are beyond this discussion. With the exceptions of a few users who are supporting us since the beginning, and our collaboration with the OAUV, nobody helps us here at all; it is exactly the opposite.

So if you have some spare 200,000 euros and you are wondering what to do with them, I can give you some good ideas

I found that the script fails with the current version of the Debayer module. 

I hacked in a quick fix and attached in case anyone needs it.  It was failing based on the fact that it using code from the BatchDebayer script - and it hadn't been updated since that script was changed to leverage the new functionality in the debayer module.
