v 1.6.9.652 Image Registration problem
« on: 2011 January 03 09:08:19 »
I've found that the latest update is not saving the registered files to the specified directory

This was previously working fine on my PC

Hi Nigel,

I can't reproduce this problem. In all my tests, StarAlignment works without problems and writes its output files to the selected directory.

Can you provide more information, or a small dataset that systematically causes this problem?

Juan

I think it may be my lack of understanding of the process

When I align files the registered files are created.

When I align views, even though the output directory is filled in the images are not written out disk, just held in memory.

Earlier this afternoon I'd loaded the files in and aligned using views. I'd expected the registered images to be written out as files because I had filled in the output directory. Obviously this is not the case.

Apologies  :-[

Nigel,

No problem. I know that SA's interface can lead to confusion because files and views are mixed in the same image list. I think that separating both target image types in two dedicated lists would make it clear that the output directory, prefix, suffix, etc. only apply to file targets. I'll try to update the ImageRegistration module with this improvement.
