Hi folks

I retested the process where I got some problems here http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=2118.0

I made the TUTORIAL  (sorry, it is in french as there is many turorial in english)

and finally compare the Deep Sky Stacker >:D result  (left)  and PIXINSIGHT  O:) (right) result regarding to the noise optimisation during calibration and integration

Thanks for the comparison.
A lot dependeds on the rejection settings and other options you choose.
You should publish them too.


I personally do my calibration in MaxIM DL. Then the rest in PI.
The alignment and integration are as good they come.

The calibration is needs an update so you don't have to go through so may steps. :'(

Hi,

I abandoned DSS for that same reason... Somehow I always ended up with noisier images. Probably that can be solved with some tweaking....

I do the my calibration with Nebulosity and then I integrate the images using PI....
