Updates?
« on: 2010 July 25 22:51:06 »
Reading over some of these topics makes me wonder if I am getting the full "punch" out of PI. Are features added by version updates, say 1.6.0-1.6.1, or are they modules that are available prior to updates? I noticed in the announcement about the Alder program a mention of HDR Composition but don't see anything posted in updates. Is this in working beta by developers? Is there any progress on de-blooming? For me at least, it's still a major issue with the sensitivity of my ST10XME camera and something that I need to deal with outside of PI. From what I saw posted a while back, it looked like that feature was well under development and far better than any solution I have seen from any other software program. Now that I've been using the FSQ-106 with the ST10XME it's even more of an issue as the wider field captures more brighter stars than the 12.5" RC.

I know, some one's always looking for something sooner than later! >:D

Hi Steve,

Just to let you know that v1.6.1 has been released to the Beta-Test team, so should be in the 'public domain' very soon.

I am only just back from an extended business trip, and so I haven't even got my copy downloaded and installed yet >:(

For that reason only, I can't tell you what the new features are - perhaps others can jump in here.

Cheers,
