Hi,

When do you intend to release the Linux version of PCL ?   Will it come with source?

Best wishes,
Shashi

PCL - linux?

Hi Shashi,

During this week for sure; I think in two/three days at most. It's just a matter of some final tweaks and tests, and we'll release it. Of course PCL/Linux will include the same source codes that are being included in PCL/Windows. The two packages are essentially identical; the only difference is in the precompiled libraries (*.a).

By the way, are you interested in development on the PixInsight platform? If so, welcome! I'll be glad to help you in anything you need. We still lack the necessary development tutorials, but you can count with our direct assistance.

It  looks quite promising.and I may like to get involved though a bit slowly - I am working now mostly on completing my PhD...  Are there command line programs that use the PCL?   Would be great way to build pipeline scripts...  Maybe a connection to iraf (but that would be unix only...)

More in a while then,
Best regards,
Shashi
