See my <new topic> about the disappearing "DynamicCrop" user interface - perhaps you also need a FULL RESET?

Hi Nikolay & al.,

I'll include a new command in version 1.6.1 to reset the geometries of all process windows. For now, you can perform a full reset to restore everything to default settings. There is an option in Windows to do this: Start > All Programs > PixInsight Platform > Reset PixInsight Settings. Alternatively, you can launch PixInsight with the Ctrl key pressed. This works on all platforms.

Hi:

I launch PixInsight with the Ctrl key pressed and all go OK.

Thanks for the tip.

I'll include a new command in version 1.6.1 to reset the geometries of all process windows.

That would be nice. I did a full restore the other day but today I pulled one process window (don't remember which one) and it wasn't visible anywhere (I use a two monitor system) and for obvious reasons, it's not ideal having to do a full settings reset every time a dialog window decides to go take a nap somewhere. I really don't know why it's happening but with a "process windows geometry reset" handy I don't need to know  :)

I think it would be very useful if when PixInsight starts it would check if any floating panel is outside the displays and then automatically reset only the misplaced panels.
