I have been looking for any tools for debayering CMYG images from Orion Starshoot DSI color v2 in PI Core 1.5.09, but I have only found different versions for RGB.

Are there any tool for it or is it planned for new versions?.

Thanks a lot!

Fernando

Check under scripts->utilities. I'm sure a search of the forum for the word 'CYMG' would heave lead you to Niall's excellent efforts.

Hi Fernando,

Hope you don't mind me jumping on your 'thread' but did you have any luck debayering your Starshoot V2 raw frames. I too have the same camera and if you did manage to do it you could save me a lot of trial and error time by supplying me the settings you used. :P

Thanks for any help you can give.

Kind regards,

Hi all,

With reference to the 'settings' for my CMYG script (for use with the Orion Starshoot), I would start off with the Meade DSI settings. and see how they perform.

Further, if any Orion Starshoot user know which settings need to be used in Nebulosity, then these same settings should be used in my PJSR routine (if memory serves me correctly).

Finally, if you can get your scope and Starshoot pointed at a 'normal' daylight scene, and then try and deBayer that image, it can be easier to see when you have got the settings 'right'. That is how I finally determined, empirically, how to implement a set of DSI 'default' parameters.

Good luck,
Cheers,
