It would be VERY nice if PI would be able to create text log files in the swap folder with useful information about the last calculations. There are many processes that put a bunch of text in the console, and that information is not easy to manage from the console.
One example... now I'm registering some light frames. I launch SA to register 20 images. At the end, SA says that one of these images is not well registered. Also I want to know wich images are more to the right. To access all this information quickly, a log file would be very helpful. I know some of these examples are somewhat bizarres... but I'm a somewhat bizarre guy.
An alternative way would be to present in console a summary of the calculation as a last step.
