Hi,
1. it is possible to develop a spectrum in PIX?
2. It is possible to aggregate multiple spectra stripes?
The spectrum is annexed by the Sun in H alpha
Linear dispersion of 0.07 angstroms

Best Regards

Siegfried

Hi Siegfried

We have not developed tools specifically for spectra. As you know, they may be considered as 1d images, when reduced/calibrated. So, working with spectra may be divided into two branches: dealing with the 2d data, from the "real" images, or process the 1d reduced data (which at the end may be ploted). We have plans for all of this, but have a very low priority right now.
About reading, since raw data is just as any other fits image, there should be no problem at all to display the 2d data as a common image.

Hi Carlos,

I tried it with deconvolution, with faint lines, there is an advantage.

I'm glad to hear that. I guess that a 1d PSF may be work better in this case. You may create it with PixelMath, or a script, and then load it to any of our deconvolution tools as a external psf image.
