On the Mac OS X versions of PixInsight 1.5.9.x, passing the mouse cursor over an image that has one or more alpha channels leads to a crash. This bug does not happen in the Linux and Windows versions (due to idiosyncrasies of the system runtime libraries on these platforms; however, the same error is present on all platforms although it only manifests on Mac OS X).

Workaround (Mac OS X users only):

- Select Edit > Readout Options from the main menu.

- On the ReadoutOptions interface, disable the Include alpha channel option.

- Press F6 or click the blue circular button to execute globally.

Sorry for the inconveniences. This bug will be fixed in an upcoming release.
