New Fifle Icon After Calibration
« on: 2020 February 03 11:13:04 »
PI ver. 1.8.8.4
Started new project and noticed that calibrated files have a different icon than the usual PI icon.
This new icon looks like a text-pic icon, rectangular with a blue center rectangle with text lines on each side.
See attached jpeg image.
Inside PI I am able to open the files. But in Windows and double clicking I get a strange alert window.
The window is titled "PixInsight" with this message, "Please wait while windows configures PixInsight".
A second window appears asking, "Select installation package for PixInsight".
When I try to close these dialogs, other boxes appear. Finally I am able to resume without making any changes.

What is happening and should I go along with the window alerts?

Hi,

I think the file needs to be re-associated with PixInsight.  Try this....Point at the file and right-click and from the menu select "Open with" and select "More apps", scroll down until you find PixInsight and also check the box "Always use this app to open .xisf files" and then "Ok"

space is not black
