Help with a bad pixel/column on STL-11000M
« on: 2020 January 20 01:47:59 »
Hi,

I have a very stubborn bad column at the bottom right of my chip. See attached.

After running the batch-pre-processing script it is the only defect that remains. I just can't seem to get rid of it in PI.

A colleague put me on to CCDStack2 which works and does remove it via their "repair bad pixels/columns" tool, but I already own a copy of PI and would prefer to give it a good go before making the jump.

The data is available at this Dropbox link:  https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hdbzk198tzwnz17/AAD7tY44r30z5x1B7l96wKtQa?dl=0

I would be most grateful if someone would give this a crack and confirm what tool I might use in PI and recommended settings.

A big thank you in advance to that very kind person!

Logie

Use cosmeticCorrection on linear images after calibration.

See the third post here https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=13954.msg84033#msg84033 for reasons why it may be better not to use cosmetic correction
