I have PI installed on my observatory workstation and use it there occasionally. No problems. Last night I was unable to start PI -- got a system error message that a module could not be found. Did an installation repair -- same problem. And of course, the Win10 error log blows up when I attempt to see what the problem is. I uninstalled it but have not had a chance to reinstall (again). Any thoughts? Win10 still on 1809 -- AMD Ryzen processor.

Hi Greg,

This is, with high probability, a machine-specific issue with your Windows operating system, not with PixInsight. To help you, we need to know exactly what 'module' could not be found, or a more specific error message.

There is nothing that an application (PixInsight or any other) could do to make this happen. It seems that you have problems with your Windows installation unrelated to PI.

Folks,

You are probably right but until Microsloth puts out a patch so the ^%*% error log reporter stops blowing up when one tries to read the log its going to be a bit tough. Especially since the fault lies at image activation as opposed to later.
