Blue Blob In Wide Field Orion Image?
« on: 2019 February 05 22:41:58 »
What's this blue blob in my image?  It was processed with the current release.  I tried using 'Sigma', 'Winsorized Sigma', 'Min/Max', and 'Averaged Sigma' during stacking and Integration.  Its still there.  Its not in my Darks, Flats or BIAS.  Its in many of my Lights.

See this link to get details and background info.

Excellent image in my personal opinion!!!
Cant find these 2 mini blobs on any satellite image in the net.

To check if this is a reflection i would blink your registered images and control
if this blobs are moving/jumping. If yes,  it could be a reflection, if not
i have no proveable idea at the moment...

i know those "blobs" very well.
one word: reflections.
got them using typical DSLR widefield lenses also. and sometimes more than one on my frames.
mine were moving slightly from frame to frame due a not perfect polar allign and therefore a slight drift. was using an astrotrac.
was unable to get rid of them at processing and did a clone stamp at last.
cheers,
max
