Hello, I try, without success, to validate the new version of PixInsight after uninstalling the previous one.
The loading and installation of the new version happened normally.

When I click on the PixInsight icon the PixInsight Software Activation window opens, I click on the Request Activation Codes button.

The Request License Activation Codes window opens. I enter my User Name and my User password and I click on the OK button.

I receive an e-mail with a link to reactivate my license and when I click on this link I receive a message from Software Distribution :

INVALID
The specified request is not valid.

After several attempts I always get the same answer. Thank you for telling me the procedure to follow to help me out ...

Hi JFD,
I'm a newcomer as well and suffered under the same circumstances. After several attempts I got my new license key and I managed to activate version 01.08.06.
The program booted and all was fine.
When I tried to open process explorer, I got a black screen and it took me a while to come back to the program. A failure message appeared which I unfortunately not saved. As far I remember, a *dll file was missing. I use WIN7 home edition with 8MB RAM on a laptop.
I'm in the opinion that this new version requires more engine power, and don't like WIN7 so I went back to the previous version and still can exercise.
I copied my license agreement file to my wife's PC, as her engine is having a better performance, and installed version 01.08.06 but I have to repeat the same procedure: another application of a new license key, so I stopped at that stage due to lack of time.
