PhotometricColorCalibration: Darkening images?
« on: 2019 January 06 06:59:35 »
Prior to using PhotometricColorCalibration there is some space on the left side of the histogram.  It's nice to have this extra room to work with when stretching the images.  I can adjust the black point without clipping.  But when I use PCC or BackgroundNeutralization, this space on the left side of the histogram is eliminated and when I start stretching it becomes a bit difficult because any change to the black point results in clipping.

There's a good change I'm not understanding BackgroundNeutralization or PCC, but is there a way to not move the left side of the histogram when using these tools?
