Setting default properties for xisf file type
« on: 2019 January 02 15:25:24 »
Is there a way to have every time I save an xisf file to always have clicked "Image Properties" in XISF options?

Except it doesn't enable "Image Properties" in XISF Options. I can't seem to find a way to have that set all the time.

The first image is the Global Preferences>File I/O Settings. The second is the dialog box during the save of an XISF file. Note the "Image Properties" is unchecked even though I would think it should be checked because "Enable embedding of image properties by default" is checked in the File I/O Settings.

Should this be reported as a bug?

To modify default settings for the XISF format:

- Open the Format Explorer window. If it isn't already docked on the left side, select View > Explorer Windows > Format Explorer from the main menu.

- Activate (e.g., double click) the XISF item on the left panel.

- On the XISF Format Preferences window, change settings as desired; then click OK.

Note that the same can be done for any format support module that provides a preferences interface. This currently includes XISF, TIFF, RAW, JPEG, JPC, JP2, and FITS.
