« on: 2018 November 28 17:02:07 »
Hi,

I just started using PI and after 3 days now I am facing a lot error messages.

I searched here in the Bug reports but did not find anything.

What do I have to do to get rid of these errors ? Thank you.

Please look at the screenshots. Thank You.

Well. I did unistal the latest version and installed the version before and ...

My Pix Insight installation is worth nothing at the moment ...

Is there anybody from the Pix Insight team who would help me solve my problem ?

Thanks and regards Rainer

Hi

If you are really stuck I would start with  "reset the settings " under the start menu  and your cache says its corrupted try deleting it

this can be done from the settings at the bottom of the image intergration module ( little spanner )

Hopefully this will get you going

Hi,

Thanks for answering.

I click on the spanner and it tells me File Cache damaged but no menu appears. I click again and Pix Insight just closes with no message ...

Sorry but where is the Reset under the start menu.

Hi

Harry

Hi,

Well I found it and did a reset and restarted the PixInsight and then I applied what is mentioned here in this message because my Monitor is a ViewSonic VP-2772 with an imagfe size of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=10638.0

The I ran BPP and it ran through the whole process with no problems but no Integration image on the Workspace. As a newbie the first time I used PI 4 days ago I also ran BPP and at the end there was a Integration image in the Workspace. I think this is now another ¿ bug ? ( or perhaps I ahve to activate somthing somewhere ? but searching in the folders I saw no saved Integration Image) because the exactly same thing happened on another PC I have a Desktop (this is a Laptop on which I just made the test) and there the process ran through and also no Integration image in the Workspace.

Hi,

OK I found the Log file of that process and at the end is this and so far I understand that Writing image means display on the monitor which does not happen  :surprised:

On the other side I do see how the BPP es writing the images of the calibration images to the workspace and then delete them.

4 days ago the integrated image stayed on the workspace, now not anymore.

¿?

Hi

When running the BPP script and you have the image integration box checked the final image is never left open on the desktop ,

the final result is saved in  the  masters file .

it is only if you run the intergration process on its own will the image be left open on the desktop

Hi Harry,

Thanks. Well I had the imporession running BPP it did leave it open but again thanks for clarifying this. In the meantime I did find it  ;)

Also after changing the Global Preferences so far I have had no problem again. Will keep testing it.

I am not sure about File Cache as far as I have been disabling it when using ImageIntegration process only.

Thanks to all who helped me getting rid of the " PCL Win32 System exception "
